Introducing: Peticious. The 1st Ever Elevated Portion Controlled Pet Food Dish
A manually operated elevated pet food dish with four meal compartments. Just add the desired amount of food in each compartment once during the morning, and turn the dial throughout the day depending on your pets feeding time. The food dish is one piece for easy removal for cleaning, and made out of stainless steel so it is also dishwasher safe. The lid is air tight so unused food in compartments stay fresh. The feet are none slip and has an elevation of 5 inches for healthier feeding habits.
Although this is designed for both dogs and cats, I first thought about the idea a while back when I had my cat 'Odi'
He had so many health issues including a slight heart murmur, allergies, Asthma, and Diabetes. I think him being over weight contributed to some of these ailments including breathing issues. Its not that I didn't try to put him on diets, change his eating regimen, and play with him for exercise, I did, but, it didn't help much as far as his obesity.
I made a rough prototype at first and then refined the design to fit his needs, hence, the one you see here.
